UMI Performance 82-02 GM F-Body Panhard Bar Relocation Conversion Kit

This UMI Performance Panhard bar relocation conversion kit is designed to upgrade your existing UMI P/N 2024 kit to the more performance-oriented UMI P/N 2062 lowering and leveling system. You get a weld-in reinforcement plate for the factory panhard bar mount and an adjustable strut to manage bracket movement. The laser-cut adjustment slots allow you to precisely lower and level the panhard bar, which helps tune your vehicle's roll center height for better handling.

This setup offers many of the benefits of a Watts link system but with a simpler installation and adjustment process, all at a more accessible price point. The CNC laser-cut bracketry is well-made and finished in UMI's gloss black powder coat. It's designed for use with the factory axle and is 100% bolt-in for street applications, though welding the reinforcement plate is recommended for competition use. Lowering the panhard bar can help prevent mid-corner oversteer, while raising it can enhance mid-corner rotation.

Keep in mind that this kit requires at least 1.5 inches of clearance between your sway bar and axle tube. You may need to use a kit like UMI's P/N 2244-275 sway bar bracket kit or a similar equivalent to achieve this. Always ensure you have adequate clearance before installation. This conversion kit must be used with an adjustable panhard bar.
