UMI Performance 82-02 GM F-Body Transmission Mounted Adjustable Torque Arm

The rear mounting plates on this UMI Performance adjustable torque arm are constructed from 0.375-inch thick CNC-machined mild steel, ensuring a solid foundation for transferring power. When you're pushing your 1982-2002 GM F-Body hard, the factory torque arm can flex and cause traction issues. This aftermarket unit replaces that weak stock component with a much stronger, more rigid tubular design made from 1.250-inch x 0.120-inch DOM seamless steel tubing.

This torque arm is designed to directly bolt in place of your original, meaning no drilling or welding is required for installation. It comes with a low-deflection Energy Suspension front bushing to replace the stock rubber one, and the rear mount uses solid QA1 3/4-inch rod ends for precise movement. The real advantage here is the on-car adjustability, thanks to a heat-treated 4140 adjuster and 3/4-inch QA1 rod ends, allowing you to easily fine-tune your pinion angle for optimal performance. This setup is built to eliminate wheel hop under hard acceleration and can instantly reduce your 60-foot times.

This torque arm fits GM 10-bolt rear ends, as well as Moser and Strange 12-bolt and most 9-inch housings. For 1982-1984 models, you will need to purchase an '85 or newer clamshell mount separately.
