UMI Performance 82-02 GM F-Body Transmission Mounted Adjustable Torque Arm

The 1.250" x 0.120" DOM seamless steel tubing used in this UMI Performance adjustable torque arm is a strong foundation for transferring power. This aftermarket unit replaces the factory torque arm, which can flex and cause traction issues under hard acceleration. By adding strength and rigidity, this torque arm is designed to eliminate wheel hop and reduce your 60-foot times, getting that power to the pavement more effectively.

This torque arm is a direct bolt-on installation, using your Camaro's existing mounting holes with no drilling or welding required. It comes with a low-deflection Energy Suspension front bushing to replace the stock rubber one, and the rear mount is constructed from 0.375" thick CNC machined mild steel, designed to fit GM 10-bolt rears, as well as Moser and Strange 12-bolt and most 9" housings. The unit features on-car adjustability for easy pinion angle changes, thanks to a heat-treated 4140 chrome moly adjuster and QA1 3/4" rod ends, making fine-tuning straightforward.

For 1982-1984 models, you will need to purchase an updated clamshell mount from an 85 or newer vehicle. This torque arm also helps reduce front-end nose dive during braking, contributing to a more stable driving experience.
