UMI Performance 82-02 GM F-Body Transmission Mounted Adjustable Torque Arm

If you're looking to get the most out of your 1982-2002 GM F-Body, like your Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird, this adjustable torque arm from UMI Performance is a solid upgrade. It replaces the factory torque arm, which can flex and cause traction issues, especially under hard acceleration. This aftermarket unit adds strength and rigidity, helping to transfer your engine's power directly to the wheels and eliminate that frustrating wheel hop.

This torque arm is built from strong 1.250" x 0.120" DOM seamless steel tubing and features TIG welded adapters made from 4140 Chrome Moly. The rear mounting bracket is constructed from thick 0.375" CNC machined mild steel, designed to fit GM 10-bolt rears, Moser and Strange 12-bolts, and most 9" housings. You get on-car adjustability for precise pinion angle tuning, thanks to a heat-treated 4140 Chrome Moly adjuster and robust ¾" QA1 rod ends. It also includes a low-deflection Energy Suspension front bushing to replace the stock rubber one. The entire assembly is finished with a durable powder coat.

Installation is straightforward as it bolts directly in place of the factory unit using existing holes, meaning no drilling or welding is required. For 1982-1984 models, you will need to purchase an '85 or newer clamshell mount separately. This torque arm is designed to reduce 60-foot times and also helps minimize front-end nose dive during braking, giving you more control all around.
