UMI Performance 82-92 GM F-Body Front and Rear Weight Jack Kit Race

UMI Performance is known for making well-built suspension components for classic American muscle cars. For your 1982-1992 Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird, this front and rear weight jack kit is geared toward auto-x and road racing, with occasional street use in mind. It’s designed to give your F-body a firm, competition-ready ride by allowing you to fine-tune your car's corner weights, which is essential for getting the best handling out of your vehicle on the track.

This race kit features stout 1050 lb/in front springs and 200 lb/in rear springs, both custom wound for performance. The jack plates are built from strong US Steel and ride on UMI's exclusive thrust bearings. These bearings help spread the load evenly and make adjusting your ride height much easier, even while the suspension is under load. You can adjust your ride height from stock down to a 2-1/2 inch drop, with most track testing done at a 2-inch drop. The adjustment process is straightforward, using a ratchet and a 3/4” socket to turn the acme thread. This kit maintains factory clearance around the struts, allowing for maximum tire and wheel width, and works with both UMI and factory K-members. The rear kit is compatible with factory rear end housings and Strange Engineering brand rear housings, though minor grinding on the left axle pad is required.

This kit is manufactured, tested, and race-proven right here in the USA. It pairs well with UMI, Viking, or Koni struts and shocks, but also works with factory struts and shocks. The anti-rotation tab helps keep everything in place during aggressive driving.
