UMI Performance 82-92 GM F-Body Front and Rear Weight Jack Kit Race

This is the UMI Performance front and rear weight jack kit, specifically built for the 1982-1992 GM F-Body platform, which includes your Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird. If you're serious about auto-x or road racing, this kit is designed to give your car a firm, competition-ready ride and is essential for dialing in your suspension for optimal handling on the track.

What sets this kit apart is its focus on independent corner weight tuning, a critical factor for achieving balanced handling in racing scenarios. The kit features strong, USA-made steel jack plates that ride on UMI's exclusive thrust bearings. These bearings not only spread the load evenly but also make adjusting your ride height remarkably easy, even with a simple ratchet and a 3/4” socket. You can adjust the ride height from stock down to a 2-1/2” drop, with most track testing done around a 2” drop. The kit includes custom-wound springs: 1050 lb/in for the front and 200 lb/in for the rear, providing a firm setup suitable for racing. An anti-rotation tab is also included to keep everything secure.

This race kit is designed to work with UMI and factory K-members, and while it fits the factory rear end housing, it also works with Strange Engineering brand rear housings. Keep in mind that minor grinding is required on the left axle pad for rear fitment. This kit pairs well with UMI, Viking, or Koni struts and shocks, and can also be used with factory struts and shocks. It maintains factory clearance around the strut, allowing for maximum tire and wheel width, and is manufactured, tested, and race-proven right here in the USA.
