UMI Performance 82-92 GM F-Body Front and Rear Weight Jack Kit Street

This is the UMI Performance front and rear weight jack kit for your 1982-1992 Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird. If you're looking to dial in your suspension for better handling on the street, at auto-x events, or on the road race track, this kit is designed to help you achieve that. It allows for independent corner weight tuning, which is crucial for getting the most out of your car's handling characteristics.

The kit includes custom-wound springs: 850 lb/in for the front and 175 lb/in for the rear, offering a medium-firm ride that balances street comfort with performance needs. These springs are made from strong US Steel. The jack plates themselves are built with a solid ¼” thick construction, CNC laser cut from USA steel, and feature UMI's exclusive thrust bearings. These bearings help spread the load evenly, making ride height adjustments much easier. You can adjust the ride height from stock down to a 2-1/2” drop, with most track testing done at a 2” drop. The adjustment process is straightforward, using a ratchet and a ¾” socket, and the kit maintains factory clearance around the struts, allowing for maximum tire and wheel width.

This kit is designed to work with UMI and factory K-members, and also fits factory rear end housings as well as Strange Engineering brand rear housings. Note that minor grinding on the left axle pad is required for installation. It pairs well with UMI, Viking, or Koni struts and shocks, but also works with factory struts and shocks.
