Product Details
When you're swapping in a 700R4 or T5 transmission into your 1982-1992 third-gen F-Body, like a Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird, you'll need a solid mount to hold it in place. This transmission cross member from UMI Performance is built specifically for that job. It's designed to bolt right into the factory cross member holes, so you won't have to drill anything new into your car's frame.
This cross member is well-built with 0.120-inch rectangular steel tubing and 0.188-inch mild steel mounting plates. The transmission mount itself is a beefy 0.375-inch thick, giving you a strong foundation for your new transmission. It comes finished in your choice of bright red or gloss black powder coat, and includes all the new mounting hardware you'll need to get it installed. This makes for a straightforward installation, using the existing mounting points on your vehicle.
