UMI Performance 82-92 GM F-Body Tunnel Mounted Torque Arm

This part replaces the factory torque arm, which is a key component in controlling the rotation of your rear axle under acceleration. By mounting directly to the transmission tunnel, this design helps reduce wheel hop and delivers more consistent traction, especially when you're pushing your car hard.

UMI Performance builds this torque arm using 1.250" x 0.120" DOM seamless steel tubing for strength, and it's TIG welded for durability. The on-car adjuster is made from heat-treated 4140 chromoly steel, ensuring it can handle the stress of adjustments and driving. The rear mounting plates are constructed from 0.375" thick mild steel and are designed to work with stock rear-ends, as well as common 12-bolt and 9-inch housings. It also features greaseable polyurethane bushings to help prolong their life and maintain performance.

This torque arm is designed to be used with UMI's tunnel-mounted torque arm mounts. The solid 3/4" rod ends and grade 8 hardware used in the rear mounts add to the overall robustness of the assembly.
