If you're looking to make your first suspension upgrade on your 1993-2002 Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird, a shock tower brace is a solid choice. This brace connects the front right and left shock towers, which helps to stiffen the chassis. You'll notice improved steering response and firmer handling, especially when you're running wider tires up front that put more stress on the body.
This brace is constructed from 1-1/4 inch USA-made tubing with 1/4 inch thick mounting plates that are CNC laser cut. It’s surprisingly lightweight, weighing in at under 5 pounds. Installation is straightforward and can typically be done in 15 minutes or less with basic hand tools, making it a great weekend project.
Keep in mind that this brace will not fit V6 models, the 1996-1997 SS models, or vehicles with the Fast 102 intake manifold. It's designed for the V8 models of the Camaro and Firebird from 1993 through 2002.
