It's built with a reinforced CPE synthetic rubber inner liner and a durable nylon braided cover, offering good abrasion resistance. This hose is a solid choice for a variety of applications, including oil, water, fuel, coolant, and vacuum lines. It can handle temperatures from -40 degrees F up to 300 degrees F and operating pressures up to 500 PSI.
The nylon braiding makes this hose lightweight and tough, and it's also suitable for use with E85 and methanol fuels, though it's best to avoid leaving those fuels stagnant in the hose for extended periods. For those specific uses, Vibrant offers a PTFE hose. This particular hose is not recommended for use as a brake line or for in-tank fuel applications.
