Is this kit compatible with my stock LB7 turbo?

Yes. The intake horn and full system are designed for OEM turbochargers and IHI-style upgraded drop-in turbos. It is not compatible with S300 or S400 style turbochargers.

What makes this a Stage 3 versus Stage 1 or Stage 2?

Stage 1 is the intake system with airbox, filter, and intake horn. Stage 2 adds the Y-bridge and intercooler piping. Stage 3 combines both stages and adds the 3-inch downpipe for a complete intake-to-exhaust airflow improvement.

Does the powder coat color affect performance?

No. The Bengal Silver finish is purely cosmetic. All functional components, fitment, and performance specs are identical to every other color option in the WCF100712 series.

Wehrli Custom Fab designed this Stage 3 High Flow Intake Bundle to address every major airflow restriction on the 2001-2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, Silverado 3500, GMC Sierra 2500 HD, and Sierra 3500 with the LB7 Duramax. This Bengal Silver version packages the Stage 1 intake, Stage 2 intercooler piping, and a 3-inch downpipe into one kit, finished in Wehrli's custom powder coat.

Starting at the turbo, the 4-inch high flow intake horn removes restrictions from the OEM setup to improve spool and top-end power. It is compatible with stock and IHI-style drop-in turbochargers. The 4-inch fabricated aluminum intake piping routes to a 10-gauge aluminum airbox that pulls cold air through the inner fender, helping keep temperatures down. A dry air filter with hydrophobic Outerwears pre-filter cover is included, and the removable airbox lid allows for quick filter checks.

Moving downstream, the Stage 2 components swap the factory Y-bridge, passenger-side intercooler pipe, and driver-side intercooler pipe for 3-inch mandrel-bent aluminum piping. These feed into Wehrli's TIG-welded, CNC-machined billet Y-bridge base, establishing a full 3-inch intake tract from turbo to engine. This broader path helps with throttle response and can contribute to lower EGTs. The 3-inch downpipe replaces the factory unit's crushed spots and curves with a straight shot, improving exhaust flow. It comes in black ceramic coat with heat wrap.

The kit rounds out with silicone boots, stainless steel T-bolt clamps, an FPRV block-off kit, and all mounting hardware and gaskets. Not recommended for S300 or S400 turbochargers. Not CARB-approved.
