How does the Candy Teal finish differ from the standard colors?

Candy Teal is part of Wehrli's special finish line, which uses a different powder coat process than the standard colors. All mechanical components and performance are identical; the difference is purely cosmetic.

Will this kit work if I upgrade my turbo later?

That depends on the turbo type. This kit works with OEM and IHI-style upgraded drop-in turbochargers. If you plan to run an S300 or S400 style turbocharger, Wehrli offers separate single turbo kits designed for those setups.

What is in the Stage 3 bundle that is not in Stage 1?

Stage 1 covers the 4-inch intake, airbox, filter, and intake horn. Stage 3 adds the full intercooler piping kit (hot and cold side pipes plus billet Y-bridge) and a 3-inch downpipe, addressing the intake and exhaust tract from turbo to engine.

Wehrli Custom Fab's Candy Teal powder coat gives this Stage 3 High Flow Intake Bundle a standout look on the 2001-2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, Silverado 3500, GMC Sierra 2500 HD, and Sierra 3500 with the 6.6L LB7 Duramax. Under the finish, this is the same proven Stage 3 package that replaces the factory intake, intercooler piping, Y-bridge, and downpipe in one comprehensive kit.

The intake side features 4-inch fabricated aluminum piping with smooth aerodynamic bends that replace the restrictive plastic factory parts. A 10-gauge aluminum airbox draws cold air through the inner fender, and the included dry filter with hydrophobic Outerwears pre-filter cover keeps contaminants out of your MAF sensor and turbo. The 4-inch high flow turbo intake horn removes the factory restriction point, improving spool and top-end performance with OEM and IHI-style turbochargers.

On the intercooler side, 3-inch mandrel-bent aluminum pipes replace both hot and cold side factory piping, feeding a TIG-welded, CNC-machined billet Y-bridge. This creates an uninterrupted 3-inch path from turbo to engine intake, which helps throttle response and can lower EGTs. The 3-inch downpipe runs straight compared to the factory unit and ships in black ceramic coat with heat wrap for temperature management.

Silicone boots rated above factory pressure and temperature thresholds connect everything securely with stainless steel T-bolt clamps. An FPRV block-off kit is included for clearance with the larger Y-bridge. All hardware and gaskets are in the box. Not recommended for S300 or S400 turbochargers. Not CARB-approved.
