Wehrli 01-04 Chevrolet 6.6L LB7 Duramax High Flow Intake Bundle Kit - Chevy Orange

Wehrli Custom Fab builds their intake kits around one idea: replace every restrictive factory component on the LB7 Duramax intake tract with properly sized aluminum piping. This Stage 3 High Flow Intake Bundle Kit for 2001-2004 Silverado 2500 HD, Silverado 3500, Sierra 2500 HD, and Sierra 3500 does exactly that, and it comes finished in Chevy Orange powder coat to match your truck's personality.

The kit starts with a 4" fabricated aluminum air intake pipe and enclosed air box made from 10-gauge aluminum sheet. A dry filter with a hydrophobic Outerwears pre-filter cover keeps contaminants away from the MAF sensor and turbo, while the removable air box lid makes filter inspection and maintenance straightforward. From there, a 4" high flow turbo intake horn replaces the restrictive OEM turbo mouthpiece, working with both stock and upgraded IHI-style drop-in turbochargers to improve spool and top-end power.

Moving downstream, Wehrli replaces the OEM Y-bridge, passenger-side intercooler pipe, and driver-side intercooler pipe with 3" mandrel-bent aluminum piping feeding a TIG-welded, CNC-machined billet Y-bridge base. This creates a full 3" intake tract between the turbo and engine, reducing restriction and helping lower exhaust gas temperatures. Upgraded silicone boots handle higher pressures and temperatures than the factory rubber pieces, and stainless steel T-bolt clamps lock everything down.

On the exhaust side, the included 3" high flow down pipe takes a straighter path than the crushed and curved factory pipe, finished in black ceramic coat with heat wrap to manage under-hood temperatures. An FPRV block-off kit rounds out the package to clear the larger Y-bridge. Not compatible with S300 or S400 style turbochargers, and not CARB approved.
