Wehrli 01-04 Chevrolet 6.6L LB7 Duramax High Flow Intake Bundle Kit - Fine Texture Black

Four-inch aluminum intake piping feeding a full 3" intercooler tract and 3" down pipe -- that is what Wehrli's Stage 3 High Flow Intake Bundle Kit puts on your 2001-2004 Silverado 2500 HD, Silverado 3500, Sierra 2500 HD, or Sierra 3500 with the 6.6L LB7 Duramax. This version comes in Fine Texture Black powder coat for a clean, understated look under the hood.

Starting at the front of the system, a fabricated aluminum air intake pipe and 10-gauge aluminum air box draw cold air through the inner fender. The enclosed air box has a removable lid for easy filter access, and the included dry filter with hydrophobic Outerwears pre-filter cover helps keep contaminants away from the MAF sensor and turbo airways. A 4" high flow intake horn replaces the stock turbo mouthpiece, removing that common restriction point and working with both OEM and upgraded IHI-style drop-in turbochargers.

Between the turbo and the engine, Wehrli swaps out the factory Y-bridge and both intercooler pipes for 3" mandrel-bent aluminum tubing connected to a TIG-welded, CNC-machined billet Y-bridge base. Opening up that tract to a full 3" helps the turbo spool faster, improves throttle response, and helps bring exhaust gas temperatures down. The upgraded silicone boots handle higher pressures and temperatures than the factory rubber pieces that are prone to cracking and leaking boost, while stainless steel T-bolt clamps hold every joint secure.

The 3" high flow down pipe eliminates the crushed spots and sharp bends found in the factory exhaust pipe, finished in black ceramic coat with heat wrap for thermal management. An FPRV block-off kit is included for clearance. Built for OEM and IHI-style turbos only -- not compatible with S300 or S400 platforms. Not CARB approved.
