Every piece of the factory LB7 Duramax intake tract has room for improvement, and this Wehrli Custom Fab Stage 3 High Flow Intake Bundle Kit replaces them all in one package. Built for the 2001-2004 Silverado 2500 HD, Silverado 3500, Sierra 2500 HD, and Sierra 3500, this kit comes finished in Sparkle Bomber Orange -- one of Wehrli's specialty powder coat colors with a metallic flake finish.

The 4" fabricated aluminum air intake pipe and 10-gauge aluminum air box draw cold air through the inner fender, keeping intake temperatures lower than the factory plastic setup that sits in the hot engine bay. A dry filter with a hydrophobic Outerwears pre-filter cover protects the MAF sensor and turbo from contaminants, and the removable air box lid makes filter checks easy. The 4" high flow turbo intake horn replaces the stock turbo mouthpiece, opening up that well-known restriction for both OEM and IHI-style upgraded drop-in turbochargers.

The intercooler side of the system gets a complete overhaul. Wehrli replaces the factory Y-bridge and both intercooler pipes with 3" mandrel-bent aluminum tubing connected to a TIG-welded, CNC-machined billet Y-bridge base. That full 3" tract from turbo to engine helps the turbo spool faster, moves more air, and can bring down exhaust gas temperatures. Upgraded silicone boots handle the higher pressures and temperatures that come with better airflow, and stainless steel T-bolt clamps keep everything sealed.

Completing the Stage 3 package, a 3" high flow down pipe replaces the factory exhaust pipe that has crushed spots and restrictive curves. The down pipe comes in black ceramic coat with heat wrap for under-hood thermal management. FPRV block-off kit, gaskets, and all hardware are in the box. OEM and IHI-style turbos only.
