This Wehrli Custom Fabrication S400 Single Turbo Install Kit is designed for 2001-2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 trucks, as well as their GMC Sierra counterparts, equipped with the 6.6L LB7 Duramax diesel engine. This kit provides all the necessary components to swap your factory IHI-style turbo for a larger BorgWarner S400 frame turbocharger, significantly improving airflow and potential for horsepower gains. It includes a new 5-inch fabricated aluminum intake system with a heavy-duty sheet metal air box and a high-performance dry filter, complete with a pre-filter cover. The intercooler hot and cold side charge pipes are upgraded to 3-inch diameter, mandrel-bent aluminum tubing for better flow.

At the heart of this kit is Wehrli's upgraded 3-inch fabricated billet Y-bridge, which replaces the restrictive stock upper intake manifold to optimize the air path into the engine. High-quality stainless steel braided Parker oil lines are included for the feed and drain, with the feed line routing from the engine block's main oil galley. The kit features a T4 fabricated steel pedestal and spacer designed to mount popular turbo sizes (sold separately) and is compatible with 2-inch high-flow stainless steel up-pipes. The included high-temperature ceramic-coated turbo downpipe connects directly to your existing exhaust front pipe's V-band clamp, meaning no cutting or modifications are needed for your exhaust system. A driver-side transmission dipstick tube is also included to ease the downpipe installation process. The piping is finished in a durable Kiwi Green powder coat.

This kit is a comprehensive solution for upgrading your LB7 Duramax's turbo system. It comes with all the necessary silicone boots, stainless steel T-bolt clamps, V-band clamps, and heat wrap to ensure a secure and efficient installation. Please note that the turbocharger itself is sold separately, and if you are not purchasing a Borg Warner turbo from Wehrli, you will need to provide details of your chosen turbo for proper kit configuration. Lead time begins once Wehrli has the turbo needed for mock-up and kit building.
