Why does the Illusion Purple version cost more than other color options?

Wehrli Custom Fab offers their Stage 2 High Flow Intake Bundle Kit for the 2001-2004 LB7 Duramax in Illusion Purple (part number WCF100435-IP), one of their specialty powder coat finishes. Beyond the color, this is the same comprehensive intake overhaul as every other Stage 2 bundle in the lineup.

Inside the box you get a 4-inch high flow air intake with dry filter and Outerwears hydrophobic pre-filter cover, an air box with removable lid, a 3-inch fabricated aluminum Y-bridge feeding a TIG welded, CNC machined billet base, 3-inch intercooler pipes for both sides, and a 4-inch high flow turbo intake horn that works with both stock and IHI-style turbochargers. The FPRV block-off kit provides clearance for the larger Y-bridge, and the kit includes silicone boots, stainless steel T-bolt clamps, MAP sensor seal with bracket, and O-ring bridge flange gaskets. All piping is 14 gauge aluminum with mandrel bends.

The Illusion Purple finish is a Wehrli specialty color and carries a slightly higher price point than the standard color options. This kit is not CARB approved and carries a Prop 65 warning.
