What does the Stage 2 kit include that the Stage 1 does not?

Stage 2 combines the Stage 1 High Flow Bundle (air intake with air box and filter) with the Stage 2 Intake Kit (3" Y-bridge, cold-side and hot-side intercooler pipes, and intake horn). It is a single package covering the entire intake side of the turbo system.

Can I upgrade to Stage 3 later?

Yes, the main difference between Stage 2 and Stage 3 is the 3" high flow down pipe with black ceramic coat and heat wrap. You can purchase and install the down pipe separately to complete the Stage 3 upgrade.

Is there a MAP sensor relocation involved?

The kit includes a MAP sensor seal and hold-down bracket to properly secure the MAP sensor with the new piping. This ensures accurate sensor readings after the factory components are removed.

Does the WCFab Red finish cost more than standard colors?

Yes, WCFab Red is a specialty powder coat color that carries a slightly higher price than standard finishes like Gloss Black or Flat Black. All components and construction are identical across every color option -- only the finish differs.

If you want to open up the intake side of your 2001-2004 Silverado 2500 HD, Silverado 3500, Sierra 2500 HD, or Sierra 3500 LB7 Duramax without replacing the down pipe, this Wehrli Custom Fab Stage 2 High Flow Intake Bundle Kit is the package to look at. Finished in WCFab Red -- one of Wehrli's signature specialty powder coat colors -- this kit bundles the air intake, intercooler piping, and Y-bridge into a single purchase.

The kit starts with a 4" high flow air intake that includes a dry filter, hydrophobic Outerwears pre-filter cover, and an enclosed air box with a removable lid. Built from 14-gauge aluminum, the air box draws cold air through the inner fender for cooler intake temperatures. A 4" high flow turbo intake horn replaces the stock turbo mouthpiece, opening up that restriction for OEM and IHI-style upgraded drop-in turbochargers and helping improve turbo spool and top-end airflow.

On the intercooler side, the factory Y-bridge and both intercooler pipes are replaced with Wehrli's 3" mandrel-bent aluminum piping. The fabricated Y-bridge with TIG-welded, CNC-machined billet base feeds air into a true 3" tract between turbo and engine. The passenger-side cold pipe and driver-side hot pipe are both included at full 3" diameter. This wider path helps the turbo build boost more efficiently and can lower exhaust gas temperatures. Upgraded silicone boots handle higher pressures and temperatures than the factory rubber, and stainless steel T-bolt clamps lock everything down.

A MAP sensor seal with hold-down bracket, FPRV block-off kit, O-ring bridge flange gaskets, and all installation hardware round out the package. If you later decide to add the exhaust side, the Stage 3 bundle adds a 3" down pipe. Not CARB approved.
