What is included in the Stage 2 bundle?

The kit includes the complete intake system (4 in. pipe, air box, filter, pre-filter, 4.8 in. intake horn), 3 in. driver-side intercooler pipe, 3.5 in. passenger-side intercooler pipe, and the 3 in. two-piece Y-bridge with upper and lower intercooler pipes. All silicone boots, clamps, O-rings, and hardware are also included.

Is the Flat Black finish a matte or satin?

Flat Black is a true matte finish with minimal sheen. It absorbs light rather than reflecting it, giving the components a low-profile appearance in the engine bay.

Can I upgrade to Stage 3 later?

Yes. Stage 2 and Stage 3 share the same intake, intercooler pipe, and Y-bridge components. You can add a Wehrli 3 in. stainless steel turbo down pipe later to bring your setup up to Stage 3 spec.

Does this kit retain all factory emissions equipment?

The kit retains the factory grid heater and EGR connection controls. However, it is not CARB approved, so it is intended for off-road or competition use in states that follow CARB regulations.

Wehrli Stage 2 High Flow Bundle Kit for 2006-2007 Duramax LBZ - Flat Black

Flat Black is the stealth option in the Wehrli color lineup. No shine, no flash, just a matte finish that blends into the engine bay and lets the hardware do the talking. Underneath, this is the same Stage 2 High Flow Bundle that replaces the factory intake, intercooler piping, and Y-bridge on the 2006-2007 Duramax LBZ.

Intake: A 4 in. aluminum pipe draws cold air through the inner fender into an enclosed air box with a dry filter and Outerwears hydrophobic pre-filter cover. The 4.8 in. turbo intake horn is the largest available for this application, flowing 20% more air than the stock unit. All piping is 14-gauge aluminum with mandrel bends for smooth, consistent airflow and a deeper turbo sound during acceleration.

Intercooler piping: The 3 in. driver-side (hot) and 3.5 in. passenger-side (cold) pipes replace the factory 2.5 in. hot-side and the plastic/rubber cold-side that is known for leaking and blowing off under boost. The cold-side pipe flows 47% better than stock per Wehrli. CNC machined flanges with double O-ring seals and upgraded silicone hump boots handle the boost pressures that overwhelm factory connections.

Y-bridge: Wehrli's 3 in. bolt-together two-piece design replaces the factory slip-fit unit that is prone to coming apart under boost. It flows 36% better than stock, uses CNC machined billet flanges, and creates a full 3 in. path from intercooler to engine with factory grid heater and EGR connections intact.

Everything bolts onto a stock truck with no tuning. All hardware, silicone boots, stainless T-bolt clamps, and O-rings are in the box. Made in the USA.
