Three things hold back the stock 2006-2007 LBZ Duramax intake tract: undersized piping, a flimsy slip-fit Y-bridge, and plastic cold-side intercooler plumbing that cracks and leaks. This Wehrli Stage 2 High Flow Bundle Kit in Bengal Silver replaces all of them with a complete bolt-on aluminum system that addresses airflow restrictions from the air filter all the way through to the intake manifold.

A 4 in. aluminum intake pipe with enclosed air box and dry filter draws cold air through the inner fender. The included Outerwears hydrophobic pre-filter cover protects the MAF sensor and turbo from contaminants. Wehrli's 4.8 in. turbo intake horn -- the largest available for the LBZ -- picks up a 20% airflow improvement over the factory horn, and the smoother aerodynamic bends throughout the piping improve intake velocity and volume.

Bigger Pipes, Better Seals, No More Boost Leaks

On the intercooler side, a 3 in. driver-side (hot) pipe and 3.5 in. passenger-side (cold) pipe replace the restrictive stock components. Both are fabricated from 14 ga. aluminum with mandrel bends for optimized flow. The passenger-side pipe alone flows 47% better than the factory part. CNC machined flanges with double O-ring seals and an upgraded silicone hump boot keep boost pressure where it belongs -- in the system, not leaking out of worn rubber joints.

Wehrli's 3 in. two-piece Y-bridge is the centerpiece. The bolt-together design replaces the factory slip-fit bridge that blows apart on hard-working and modified trucks. With CNC machined billet flanges and smooth-flowing mandrel bends, the complete 3 in. tract from intercooler connection to engine flows 36% better than stock while retaining the factory grid heater and EGR connections.
