What does Stage 3 add over Stage 2?

Stage 3 adds a 3 in. stainless steel turbo down pipe with heat wrap on top of the full Stage 2 package. This improves exhaust flow after the turbocharger for faster spool-up and reduced back pressure.

Does this kit require a tune?

No tuning is required. The Stage 3 bundle bolts onto a stock 07.5-10 LMM Duramax with no modifications needed. Factory sensors and connection points are all retained.

Is this kit CARB compliant?

No, this kit is not CARB approved. It is for off-road or competition use in CARB states. Check your local and state regulations before purchasing.

What material is the down pipe?

From the air filter to the exhaust, the stock 2007.5-2010 LMM Duramax has airflow restrictions that limit turbo performance and create failure points under load. This Wehrli Stage 3 High Flow Bundle Kit in Bengal Silver replaces the entire intake tract, intercooler piping, Y-bridge, and adds a stainless steel down pipe -- everything a turbo needs to breathe freely on both sides.

The intake system uses a 4 in. aluminum pipe with enclosed air box and dry filter assembly, drawing cold air through the inner fender. The 4.8 in. turbo intake horn flows 20% better than stock. An Outerwears hydrophobic pre-filter keeps the MAF sensor and turbo clean.

Full Intercooler and Y-Bridge Upgrade

A 3 in. driver-side and 3.5 in. passenger-side intercooler pipe replace the factory components with 14 ga. aluminum and mandrel bends. The cold-side pipe flows 47% better than the original. CNC machined flanges with double O-ring seals eliminate boost leaks. The bolt-together 3 in.
