The Y-bridge alone flows 36% better than the OEM piece, according to Wehrli, because it replaces the restrictive slip-fit factory design with a bolt-together unit featuring CNC machined billet flanges.

The factory intake tract on the LMM has several known trouble spots. The Y-bridge can separate under boost. The driver side intercooler pipe at 2.5 inches has a turbo connection that blows off at higher pressures. The passenger side pipe is a plastic piece that ages and cracks. This kit addresses all three. The driver pipe goes to 3 inches, the passenger pipe jumps to 3.5 inches in 14-gauge aluminum with double O-ring sealed CNC flanges, and every joint gets silicone boots with stainless T-bolt clamps.

The entire assembly retains the factory throttle valve, grid heater, and EGR controls. No tuning is required, and Wehrli states the kit works on stock trucks. Hardware, seals, and gaskets are included. Made in the USA.
