Yes. The critical ram air duct seal has been moved to the bottom of the hood for a clean engine compartment appearance while maintaining the sealed connection to draw cold air from the duct and inner fender.

What maintenance does the dry filter require?

The removable air box lid allows easy visual inspection. The Outerwears hydrophobic pre-filter cover helps keep contaminants away from the MAF sensor, turbo, and engine. Clean or replace the filter per the manufacturer's recommended intervals.

Does this kit work with the factory exhaust system?

Yes. The down pipe connects to the DOC outlet flange and mates with the OEM exhaust system front pipe using the factory 4-bolt flange connection. All OEM sensor bungs are included.

From the air filter to the exhaust side of the turbo, this Wehrli Stage 3 bundle in Bengal Blue replaces the restrictive factory components on the 2017-2019 L5P Duramax with larger, better-flowing pieces. It combines Wehrli's Stage 2 intake and intercooler pipe package with a 3.5-inch ceramic coated down pipe for a complete airflow upgrade.

The intake side starts with a 4-inch aluminum pipe, air box enclosure, and dry filter assembly with an Outerwears hydrophobic pre-filter cover. The intake horn is over an inch larger than the OEM diameter and features a PCV port and surge ring. All aluminum 14-gauge construction with mandrel bends draws cold air through the factory hood ram air duct and inner fender opening. After the turbo, the 3-inch one-piece driver side intercooler pipe replaces the factory 2.5-inch two-piece tube and eliminates the OEM resonator and middle boot joint. The 3.5-inch passenger side pipe uses a CNC machined flange with a double O-ring seal and an upgraded silicone boot.

On the exhaust side, the 3.5-inch down pipe is ceramic coated with heat wrap pre-installed. It replaces the restrictive crushed factory part, connects to the DOC outlet flange, and mates with the OEM front pipe using a 4-bolt flange. OEM sensor bungs are included. No tuning required.
