This 60-inch traction bar kit is designed to keep your 2020-2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD or GMC Sierra 2500 HD rear axle from twisting, especially when you've added more horsepower or are towing heavy loads. Axle twist can lead to serious driveline damage, including broken u-joints, pinion yokes, driveshafts, and even twisted axle housings. This kit addresses that potential problem head-on.

The brackets bolt onto the bottom of your axle tubes using the existing u-bolts, and the front mounts either bolt or weld to your truck's frame. For the connection to the frame, Wehrli uses a rebuildable and greaseable RockJock Johnny Joint heim. This allows for adjustments if you change your rear suspension height or need to fine-tune the torsion on the axle. At the axle connection, a heavy-duty polyurethane bushing is used to cut down on the noise and vibration that can sometimes come with solid heim joints on both ends. All connections use Grade 8 hardware for solid mounting. The bars themselves are finished with a durable candy red powder coat over an epoxy primer base coat, which Wehrli states increases corrosion resistance significantly compared to a single coat.

This kit is a 100% bolt-on DIY installation for Crew Cab Short Bed models. Other cab and bed configurations will require frame modification and welding for proper installation. Welding the front mounts is recommended for all competition applications to ensure maximum strength.
