Product Details
An extra inch of backspacing can solve a clearance problem without changing anything else on the car. This Weld Alpha-1 runs 4-inch backspacing compared to the standard 3-inch option, tucking the wheel face one inch closer to the hub centerline. Same 15x12 forged aluminum construction, same 5x4.75 GM bolt pattern, same black anodized double beadlock design.
That extra inch of backspacing is useful on GM cars where the rear axle housing or the inner fender lip gets tight with a 3-inch backspacing wheel. Moving the mounting surface inboard gains clearance on the outer edge without narrowing the axle or modifying the body. On the inside, you trade that clearance against proximity to the axle tube and suspension components, so you need to measure both sides before committing.
