Product Details
Sixteen inches wide on a 15-inch diameter -- the Weld Alpha-1 15x16 is the widest wheel in the Alpha-1 lineup, built for racers who need maximum tire contact patch. This version runs the 5x4.5 bolt pattern with 5-inch backspace for Ford and Mopar applications.
Maximum Width
At 16 inches wide, this wheel accepts the fattest drag radials and slicks that will fit a 15-inch rim. More tire on the ground means more grip at launch, and in sportsman racing where every hundredth of a second counts, that extra width translates directly to faster elapsed times.
5-Inch Backspace
The deeper 5-inch backspace tucks the wheel further inboard. On the widest wheel in the lineup, this is an important consideration -- make sure to check fender, suspension, and frame clearance carefully before ordering. Mini tubs may be required for some applications.
Double Beadlock
Both tire beads are mechanically locked to the rim, preventing any slippage under the extreme loads of a hard launch. Unlike the MT-designated versions, this double beadlock is designed for traditional slick tire setups as well as radials.
