Wilwood is well-known for making serious braking components. This D154 Front Caliper Kit is a direct bolt-on upgrade for many mid-size GM cars and small trucks that came with disc brakes starting in 1978, and were still used on some models up to 2002. It’s a lightweight, high-strength alternative to the original cast iron calipers that can suffer from rust and seal failures.

This kit features forged billet aluminum bodies, stainless steel pistons, and competition-style high-temperature seals. These materials help prevent the common issues like rust and pitting found in OE calipers, offering a low-maintenance performance upgrade. The D154 calipers mount in the stock location and can often fit with the same wheels that clear your original calipers. This specific version uses 1.62-inch pistons, providing 4.12 square inches of piston area per caliper to help maintain your vehicle's original front-to-rear brake bias when used with the OE master cylinder.

The kit comes with Wilwood’s hardened slide pins and BP-10 high-friction pads. Matching rear calipers and custom stainless steel brake lines are available separately if you're looking to build a complete custom setup.
