Wilwood D8-6 Front Caliper Kit Clear Corvette C2 / C3 65-82

Forged billet aluminum bodies, Type III hard anodized, are the starting point for these Wilwood D8-6 front calipers. This finish is tough and helps prevent the rust and pitting that often affects original equipment calipers on your 1965-1982 Corvette. These calipers are designed as a direct bolt-on replacement, meaning they mount right up in the stock location, making installation much simpler. They even use the original style D8 brake pads, so you don't have to hunt for specialized replacements.

You'll notice a significant weight savings compared to your stock calipers, which can make a difference in how your Corvette handles. The six-piston design provides more even clamping force on the brake pads, leading to more consistent stopping power, especially under demanding conditions. These calipers are built to handle high temperatures, and they come with DOT compliant stainless braided brake lines and high friction Promatrix brake pads to complete the package.

While these calipers fit in the stock location and work with stock rotors, keep in mind that some wheels, particularly 1965-66 OE steel wheels and certain aftermarket alloy wheels, might need a 3/16-inch or wider wheel spacer for adequate clearance. Most 1967 and newer production wheels should fit without issue.
