Why Smooth Over Drilled

Drilled rotors vent gases and look aggressive, but smooth rotors have one advantage: no stress risers. The area around each drilled hole concentrates heat and stress, which can eventually lead to cracking under extreme track use. A smooth face spreads that stress more evenly across the rotor surface. If you plan on extended track sessions or just want maximum rotor longevity, the smooth option is the way to go.

Forged Superlite Four-Piston Calipers

Wilwood's Superlite caliper is forged from a single piece for a lighter, stronger unit than a cast equivalent. Four pistons push the pad evenly across the full contact area, which translates to more consistent braking force and a firmer, more predictable pedal. The red powder coat finish resists corrosion and looks sharp through your wheel spokes.

Two-Piece Aluminum Hat Design

The aluminum hat bolts to the iron rotor ring, allowing each piece to expand at its own rate under heat. This reduces the warping and runout that one-piece rotors develop after hard use. The aluminum hat also shaves weight compared to a full-iron assembly, reducing unsprung mass on the front end.
