This 4 PSI residual pressure valve from Wilwood is made from billet aluminum and is gold-colored for easy identification. It's designed to keep a minimum amount of pressure in your brake lines, which is especially helpful in systems that experience a lot of vibration, like those found in off-road or circle track racing applications. By maintaining this small amount of pressure, it helps prevent excessive caliper piston retraction, reducing that long brake pedal stroke you sometimes get when the master cylinder is mounted lower than the calipers. This ensures your brakes are ready to engage more quickly without causing them to drag.
