This is a Wilwood Tandem Remote Master Cylinder with a 1-inch bore and a ball burnished finish. It's designed to work with most domestic cars and trucks made from the mid-1960s to the present day. A master cylinder is crucial for your braking system; it converts the force you apply to the brake pedal into hydraulic pressure that pushes your brake pads against the rotors, slowing your vehicle down. This tandem master cylinder has two separate fluid chambers, meaning if one circuit has a leak, the other can still provide some braking power, adding a layer of safety.

This particular master cylinder is machined from high-pressure die castings, making it a lightweight component at only 3lbs, which is about 75% lighter than typical cast iron master cylinders.
