Wiseco's Race Engineered Design (RED) series uses dedicated forgings from 2618 aluminum, chosen for its tensile strength, which is crucial for performance racing and engines using power adders. These pistons are made in the USA.

You'll find a few notable features here that contribute to their performance and longevity. The horizontal slot oiling in the pin bores helps keep the wrist pins and the small end of the connecting rods properly lubricated, which is key for a long service life under stress. The strutted design is optimized for the L83 engine, balancing strength with a low weight. Plus, each piston comes with an ArmorGlide skirt coating to cut down on friction and noise, while also reducing wear on the piston skirt and cylinder walls.
