The horizontal slot oiling in the pin bores is a smart touch that keeps the wrist pins and the small end of the connecting rods well-lubricated, helping to ensure a long service life for these critical components.

Wiseco uses dedicated forgings for these pistons, which allows them to create an optimized, engine-specific strutted design. This means they’re maximizing strength while keeping the weight down, a key factor in high-RPM engine performance. You'll also find an ArmorGlide skirt coating on these pistons. This isn't just for looks; it actively reduces operating friction and noise, and it also helps cut down on wear to both the piston skirt and the cylinder wall.
