If you're building a high-performance Chevrolet Small Block engine, especially for racing or applications with power adders, you need pistons that can handle the stress. Wiseco's RED Series forged pistons are built for exactly that kind of demanding environment. They're made in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its tensile strength, which is crucial when you're pushing an engine hard.

These pistons feature a flat top design with a -5.7cc dish and are designed for a 4.030 inch bore. Wiseco uses dedicated forgings for each specific engine application, allowing them to optimize the strutted design for the best possible strength-to-weight ratio. You'll also find horizontal slot oiling in the pin bores, which helps keep the wrist pins and small-end of the connecting rods properly lubricated for longer service life. Plus, each set comes complete with premium rings, so you don't have to source those separately.

To further reduce friction and wear, these pistons are coated with ArmorGlide on the skirts. This coating not only cuts down on operating friction and noise but also helps reduce wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls. An accumulator groove is also included to help maintain consistent ring seal and power output. Keep in mind these pistons are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
