These Wiseco Professional Series pistons start with a 2618 aluminum forging, chosen for its improved tensile strength, which is crucial for handling the intense pressures inside a big block Chevy engine. They're designed for builders who are pushing their 396, 427, 454, or 502 cubic inch engines hard, whether that's on the track or in a severe duty street application.

You'll find precision machined ring grooves, an anti-detonation groove, and other features aimed at improving ring seal, which helps maintain compression and prevent detonation. The piston crown itself is fully machined, and the skirt is treated with an ArmorGlide coating. This coating is designed to reduce friction and resist seizure, contributing to quieter operation and better durability under heavy loads. For added reliability, these pistons also feature forced pin oiling to ensure the wrist pin stays well-lubricated.
