These Wiseco pistons start with a 2618 aluminum forging, chosen for its improved tensile strength, which is crucial when you're pushing an engine hard. The -11cc dish design is specific to certain LS engine builds, helping to achieve a particular compression ratio when paired with the right cylinder heads and crankshaft. You'll also notice precision ring grooves, an anti-detonation groove, and features aimed at improving ring seal, all working together to keep combustion where it belongs.

Wiseco also applies an ArmorGlide skirt coating to these pistons. This isn't just for looks; it helps reduce friction between the piston skirt and cylinder wall, which can lead to quieter operation and better resistance to seizure under extreme conditions.
