Wiseco's Professional Series piston set is built for Chevy small block engines with a 4.165-inch bore. These are forged pistons, meaning they start as a block of aluminum that's heated and then hammered into shape under immense pressure. This process creates a much stronger and more durable piston than cast aluminum, which is why these are intended for serious racing and heavy-duty applications where the engine will be pushed hard.

These pistons are made from 2618 aluminum, which offers improved tensile strength to handle the extreme pressures and heat found in severe duty race builds. You'll find precision ring grooves designed for better sealing, along with anti-detonation grooves to help prevent damage. They also feature an ArmorGlide skirt coating. This isn't just for looks; it helps reduce friction between the piston skirt and the cylinder wall, which can lead to quieter operation and less wear over time, while also resisting seizure.

The fully machined crown ensures accuracy, and forced pin oiling helps keep the wrist pin lubricated under high stress. This set includes everything needed for an 8-cylinder engine, with a 1.062-inch compression height and a 0.927-inch pin diameter.
