If you're building a Ford SOHC V8 with a 4.6L or 5.4L Modular engine, this Wiseco forged piston is built for serious performance. It's designed to handle heavy and severe duty applications, making it a solid choice for race builds or high-stress street performance.
This piston is machined from 2618 aluminum, which offers improved tensile strength for durability under demanding conditions. The crown is fully machined, and it includes precision ring grooves, an anti-detonation groove, and other features to improve ring seal. Wiseco also applies an ArmorGlide skirt coating, which helps reduce friction and resist seizure, while also contributing to quieter operation. The design also incorporates forced pin oiling to ensure the piston pin stays well-lubricated.
Keep in mind this piston is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California. It's sold individually, so be sure to order the correct quantity for your engine.
