Wiseco crafts these pistons from 2618 aluminum, a material known for its improved tensile strength, making them well-suited for heavy or severe duty applications. The machining process is precise, featuring anti-detonation grooves and additional features to improve ring seal, which helps maintain compression and prevent issues. The piston crown is fully machined for accuracy, and the skirt is coated with ArmorGlide, a material that reduces friction and noise while also resisting seizure.
