You'll also find horizontal slot oiling in the pin bores, which is a smart detail that keeps the wrist pin and connecting rod small end properly lubricated, contributing to a longer service life. The ArmorGlide skirt coating is another notable feature; it works to reduce friction and noise during operation, and it also helps minimize wear on both the piston skirt and the cylinder wall.
