If you're rebuilding a high-performance Chevrolet Big Block engine for racing, the Wiseco RED Series pistons are built to handle the demands. These pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is essential for engines that see heavy use or are equipped with power adders like turbochargers or superchargers.

Wiseco's Race Engineered Design (RED) process means these pistons aren't just strong; they're optimized for performance. They feature a dedicated forging that allows for a strutted design, maximizing strength while keeping weight down. To further improve longevity and reduce friction, the pistons come with an ArmorGlide skirt coating, which also helps quiet operation and reduce wear on the skirts and cylinder walls. You'll also find horizontal slot oiling in the pin bores, ensuring the wrist pin and small end of the connecting rod stay well-lubricated, a critical factor for extended service life under high loads. An accumulator groove is included to help maintain consistent ring seal and consistent power delivery.
