These pistons are forged and machined in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for handling the demands of racing and boosted applications. To ensure maximum durability and consistent performance, they feature horizontal slot oiling in the pin bores to keep the wrist pins and small-end lubrication optimal. The dedicated forgings allow for an engine-specific strutted design, which helps maximize strength while keeping weight down. Plus, the ArmorGlide skirt coating is applied to reduce friction and noise, while also minimizing wear on the skirts and cylinder walls. Each set comes complete with premium rings, so you won't need to source those separately, and an accumulator groove is included to help maintain consistent ring seal and power output.
