This is a set of eight Wiseco RED Series pistons designed for Chevrolet Big Block engines with a 4.625 inch bore. These pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, making them well-suited for demanding performance racing and applications using power adders like turbochargers or superchargers. The RED series stands for Race Engineered Design, meaning these pistons are built with precision-machined features to give you a competitive edge on the track.

Each piston in this set features horizontal slot oiling in the pin bores. This design helps ensure optimal lubrication for the wrist pin and the small end of the connecting rod, which is crucial for maintaining a long service life under high stress. Wiseco uses dedicated forgings for each specific engine application, allowing them to create an optimized, strutted design that maximizes strength while keeping weight down. To further reduce friction and noise, and to minimize wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, these pistons come with an ArmorGlide skirt coating. You also get premium rings included with each part number, so you won't need to source those separately. An accumulator groove is incorporated to help maintain consistent ring seal and consistent power delivery.
