These pistons are forged and machined right here in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for performance racing and when using power adders like turbochargers or superchargers. Wiseco includes horizontal slot oiling in the pin bores to ensure the wrist pin and small end of the connecting rod stay well-lubricated, which is key for a long service life under heavy load. The dedicated forgings allow for an engine-specific strutted design, maximizing strength while keeping the weight down. Plus, the ArmorGlide skirt coating helps reduce friction and noise, while also cutting down on wear to the piston skirt and cylinder wall.

This set comes complete with premium rings, so you won't need to source those separately. An accumulator groove is also built into the piston design to help maintain consistent ring seal and ensure you're getting maximum power from every combustion cycle.
