These Wiseco RED Series pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, which is essential for the demanding conditions found in performance racing and engines with power adders. The Race Engineered Design (RED) series is built to handle the rigors of drag racing and circle track applications, offering a solid foundation for your Chevy Big Block build.

Each piston features horizontal slot oiling in the pin bores. This design helps keep the wrist pin and the small end of the connecting rod properly lubricated, which is critical for ensuring a long service life under high stress. The dedicated forgings allow for an engine-specific, strutted design that maximizes strength while keeping weight down. Additionally, the ArmorGlide skirt coating is applied to reduce friction and noise during operation, while also minimizing wear on the piston skirt and cylinder wall. An accumulator groove is also included to help maintain consistent ring seal and power output.
