Forged from 2618 aluminum, these Wiseco RED Series pistons are built for the demands of performance racing and power adder applications. The RED series, which stands for Race Engineered Design, uses dedicated forgings to create an optimized, engine-specific strutted design. This approach maximizes the strength-to-weight ratio, which is crucial for engines pushing serious power, from drag racing to circle track competition.

Wiseco has incorporated several features to ensure longevity and consistent performance. Horizontal slot oiling in the pin bores keeps the wrist pin and small-end of the connecting rod properly lubricated, reducing wear over time. An accumulator groove is also included to help maintain a consistent ring seal, which is vital for holding cylinder pressure and maximizing power output. Additionally, the ArmorGlide skirt coating works to reduce operating friction and noise, while also minimizing wear on the piston skirt and cylinder wall.

This set includes eight pistons, each designed for a 4.000-inch bore with a 1.250-inch compression height and a 0.927-inch pin diameter.
