These pistons are specifically designed for Chevy Small Block 350 engines with a 4.005-inch bore. They feature horizontal slot oiling in the pin bores to keep the wrist pins and small-end lubrication optimal, which is crucial for a long service life. The dedicated forgings allow for an engine-specific strutted design, maximizing strength while keeping weight down. Plus, the ArmorGlide skirt coating helps reduce friction and noise, while also cutting down on skirt and cylinder wear. You also get an accumulator groove to help maintain consistent ring seal and power delivery.
