Forged from 2618 aluminum, these Wiseco RED Series pistons are built for the demands of performance Chevy Small Block 400 engines. The RED (Race Engineered Design) series is specifically crafted to offer the strength needed for racing and power adder applications, combined with precision machining for a competitive edge. These pistons are designed for engines used in everything from drag racing to circle track competition.

Each piston features horizontal slot oiling in the pin bores, which is crucial for keeping the wrist pin and small-end of the connecting rod properly lubricated, contributing to a longer service life. Wiseco uses dedicated forgings for each engine application, allowing for an optimized, strutted design that maximizes strength while keeping weight down. The ArmorGlide skirt coating is applied to reduce friction and noise during operation, while also minimizing wear on both the piston skirt and the cylinder wall. This set includes premium rings, so you won't need to source them separately, and an accumulator groove helps maintain consistent ring seal and power output.
