This is a set of eight Wiseco RED Series pistons designed for Chevrolet Small Block 400 engines. These pistons feature a 4.130-inch bore, a 1.550-inch compression height, and a -15.00cc dish volume. The RED Series, which stands for Race Engineered Design, uses advanced forging and machining techniques to create pistons that are both strong and precise, giving you an edge in performance applications like drag racing and circle track. They are made from 2618 aluminum, known for its tensile strength, making them well-suited for high-performance and boosted engines.

Each piston in this set is built with specific features to ensure reliability and performance. The horizontal slot oiling in the pin bores helps keep the wrist pin and small-end of the connecting rod properly lubricated, which is crucial for a long service life under demanding conditions. Wiseco uses dedicated forgings for each engine application, allowing them to create an optimized strutted design that maximizes strength while keeping weight down. The ArmorGlide skirt coating is applied to reduce friction and noise during operation, and it also helps minimize wear on the piston skirt and cylinder walls. An accumulator groove is also included to help maintain consistent ring seal and power output.
